A luxury Oahu real estate website that sells
in English and Japanese at the same time.

Mie Luxury Homes is the website of a licensed luxury real estate specialist working across Honolulu. Orbit570 designed and developed the site on WordPress with the Houzez property platform, embedded a live Oahu MLS search inside each of the eight areas the team covers, and built both languages into the same content blocks with no translation plugin behind them.

EN / JA

Bilingual by design. Both languages authored into one block, with no plugin and no second site to keep in sync.

8

Oahu destinations. Every area the team sells in, each carrying its own live property search.

MLS

Live Oahu search. Real inventory inside the site, filtered to the area the visitor is reading about.

170

Location terms ready. A listing the team publishes itself files against a real Hawaii place with no setup.

The project at a glance

A service platform for a property management firm that sells to owners, serves residents, and recruits referral partners, built so all three can be handled well at the same time.

Client

The Ace Team Hawaii, led by Mie Tajima with Erica Yoon, operating under Real Broker LLC from Kapolei, Hawaii.

Website type

Luxury real estate website with a live Oahu MLS search and an owner-published property catalog.

Market covered

Honolulu and East Oahu, across eight named areas from Diamond Head and Kahala to Ward Village and Kakaako.

Audience

Luxury buyers and sellers, a large share of them Japanese speaking and buying from overseas, plus local move-up and investment clients.

Platform

Built on WordPress with the Houzez property platform and Elementor Pro, so the team publishes and edits its own listings and pages.

Property data

Live Oahu MLS search integrated through iHomeFinder and rendered inside the site’s own pages, area by area.

Our scope

Strategy, UX and information architecture, UI design, full development, MLS search integration, and the bilingual content pattern.

Two languages, two markets, and a two person team

Selling Oahu property to Japanese buyers is a genuinely bilingual business. Most agent websites treat a second language as a plugin problem, and end up with two sites that quietly drift apart.

Problem 01

A translated site is two sites

A language switcher means every listing, guide and price update has to be made twice. On a small team the second version falls behind within a month.

Problem 02

Buyers do not know Oahu

An overseas buyer cannot use a price filter until they know whether they want Kahala or Kakaako. Area comes before property, and the site had to answer that first.

Problem 03

A small team, a large market

Two people cannot maintain a hand built page for every area and every listing. Everything had to be a repeatable structure or it would not survive contact with a busy week.

And a positioning problem underneath. This is the luxury end of the Honolulu market. The site had to look like it belongs there before a single price is shown, because the brand is competing with brokerages that spend far more on presentation.

What the client required

A luxury visual standard

Photography led, editorial in tone, and clearly positioned at the top of the Honolulu market.

English and Japanese together

Both languages visible to every visitor, without a switcher and without a duplicate site to maintain.

Live MLS property search

Real Oahu inventory on the site itself, with map, filters and saved searches, not a link out to a portal.

Area pages that lead to property

A page for each Oahu area the team covers, connecting the place to what is actually for sale there.

Listings the team owns

The ability to publish and edit their own inventory as structured records, separate from the MLS feed.

A site two people can run

Every recurring element as an editable component, so no update needs a developer.

Our approach, and what we built

We mapped how an overseas luxury buyer actually approaches Oahu, then built a page type for each step. That map decided the information architecture and where the property search had to sit.

Diamond Head

The address the island is known by.

The crater, the coastline beneath it, and Oahu’s most recognised luxury market.

Kahala

Quiet money, beachside.

Low rise, established, and the closest thing Honolulu has to a private beach suburb

Hawaii Kai

Water at the back door.

Marina living on the east side, for buyers who want a boat more than a lobby.

Ala Moana

Between the beach and the city.

Towers, the park and the shopping centre, all inside a ten minute walk.

The area destinations

Eight places, each opening onto real inventory

We built one destination template and used it for all eight areas the team covers. Each page opens on photography of the place with a short bilingual introduction, then drops straight into a live property search already filtered to that area.

Keeping the writing short was deliberate. The visitor came to see what is available in Diamond Head, so the page answers the question with current listings rather than with a long essay in front of them.

Two ways to reach a property

A live MLS search and a catalog the team owns

The main listings page carries the full Oahu search: a map that re-queries as you move it, filters for status, price, beds, baths and property type, saved searches and email alerts. Every result carries its MLS reference and the listing broker, as the feed requires.

Alongside it we configured the property system the team publishes into directly, with 170 Hawaii locations and 20 amenity terms already in place, so a new listing files itself against a real place the moment it is saved

Built for a small team

An address that says where you are

Almost everything on the site is one of six layouts. Eight area pages share a single template, the property card is one component used in the catalog, the search results and the featured row, and the bilingual block is a pattern rather than a special case.

That is what lets two working agents keep a luxury site current. Adding an area or a listing is a piece of content, not a development ticket.

Typography and colour

Two typefaces and six colours, defined once in the Elementor global kit so the system is applied consistently across all twenty-one pages and remains editable by the client.

Live MLS listings, and two languages at once

Two capabilities carry this project. One puts the whole Oahu market inside the site. The other lets a single set of pages sell to two language markets without becoming two websites.

Feature one · IDX and MLS

The whole Oahu market, inside the team's own pages

We connected iHomeFinder to the Oahu MLS with a map that re-queries as it moves, filters for status, price, beds, baths and property type, saved searches and email alerts.

The decision that mattered was embedding live search inside every area page. Visitors reading about Diamond Head find the current listings already underneath the introduction.

Area scoped results embedded in all eight destination pages, so the listings answer the question that page has just raised.

Map first for overseas buyers, because someone buying from Tokyo needs to see where a property sits before a price means anything.

Saved searches and alerts, so a buyer researching from another time zone resumes rather than restarts.

Feed compliance handled, with the MLS reference and the listing broker carried on every result as the license requires.

Feature one · IDX and MLS

English and Japanese in one content block

Both languages are authored into the same block with no translation plugin. A price change is made once and both versions update together because there is no other version.

A Japanese speaking buyer never has to find a flag icon before the site speaks to them. An English speaking seller sees immediately that this team reaches the overseas market. The bilingual presentation is the proof of the claim.

One editable block per statement, so there is no translation table to keep synchronized and no second set of URLs.

Set at matched optical weight, with the two paragraphs separated by a rule so the change of script reads as intentional rather than accidental.

Applied where it sells: the home page, the buy and sell journeys, the area pages, testimonials and contact.

Planning a property website with real listings behind it?

We build the system, not just the pages. A structured listings platform your team can publish into, a design system defined once and applied everywhere, and templates that scale — on WordPress, handed over working.
